Money.

We cannot do without it. I wrote down a list of all the things I will need money for. From the looks of it passion, hobbies, even a driver's license may have to wait. And my list has no bags clothes or shoes in case you're wondering. I'm thankful for my job. No way would I survive on a 9-5 income.

It can be stressful, quite dangerous, unpredictable and generally judged by others. But I have been able to help people while earning money. Yeah door-knocking every day makes us very susceptible to mentally unsound folks, aggressive parties and er 'spirits'. My encounters involve a ghost (no sh*t) and some man in gray sweater hovering right behind me. The first was INSANELY scary but harmless; luckily Ed noticed that man before I got attacked/robbed or whatever he planned. Thank God. I have gotten used to it though Dad always reminds me not to let my guard down. We do take calculated risks sometimes.

Money is the key to freedom, putting a smile on my family's faces and moving towards certain goals. It is also necessary to acquire objects! I was really frustrated today. After days of troubleshooting... my laptop at home is not turning on. Important documents in there – and calls quoted $300-$500 to replace the motherboard. The idea of a new computer is logical (means more money too) but I still need my current one to switch on. Friends tell me Sim Lim shops uses sub standard parts. I will probably need to go back to Acer ($$$). I was so frustrated I almost cried.

OK half kidding. On the bright side 小红 is alive. Bernie and I got $5 matching phone covers again. Here's a catchy tune I love. Going to bed hoping Fairy Godmother of Power Button visits my room tonight.

Only thing I ever could need,
only one good thing worth trying to be
