B FOR BERNICE
Today's post will be lengthy but worth the time! We didn't hit it off right away. I was closed up back then, hardly in office too. But over time, endless chattering, ice cream, gymming and 1000 lunches, we found ourselves office BFFs hee. Knowing Bernice as Foo's childhood friend started us talking... but our understanding is long beyond that basis.
People from sheltered families sometimes expect everyone else to give in and take care of them the same way. It is what they always had privilege to enjoy. Once in a while though we meet someone well-pampered, and instead does her best to extend that love to people around her. That – is hard to find.

At work we help each other, at times sneaking around to cover each others' asses. Hahaha. She's most accomodating when we hang out - whether it is eating at the same damn cafe for 3 consecutive days or taking a bus to my favorite hawker at Army Market for fish soup. "Do you need company? Let's go babee." Always. :)
We even have matchy water bottles LOL LOL.

I couldn't find the rainbow pony. But thank God I didn't cause Pinky Pie (we named it together lol) is her fave!!! She was a little girl opening the present exclaiming in delight. I think she reallllly likes My Little Pony hahahaha. It's silly how I worried she wouldn't like it as much as maybe a branded bag. Next year babeeeee, you'll get a big big present from me stuffed with all my misses! :D

All her expressions are damn cute! I find it especially so because that is exactly how she is in person. It's amazing. I'm not someone who takes well to people who talk (a lot) constantly. I do start to find them noisy after a while. But with Bernice, I loveeeeee how she tells me everything about her every day happenings, the major and the minors. It is how we roll and I am more than happy to entertain her no matter how tired.

I'd wake up on many mornings to see texts like this. She'll send something at 8ish, then 9, and I will finally be up at 11 laughing my ass off. HAHA.
I was explaining I only swim at night. Sun lah, sun! There are a couple funny (unglamorous) photos she sent which I shall not post here. Sshhh I have also gotten into the habit of sending selfies over. It's fun that we don't do it for vanitys' sake, more like er... Facetime without calling.

HAHA okay okay. Looking at these pictures makes me miss our time together. I said all I wanted to say in the card. But let's do an update! Been a while since you left and the office never feels the same. I will survive. We are surviving!! Thank you for always encouraging me at work. More importantly for your company outside of work, our many dates (even the whiny ones over ice cream). For promising to have my back however, whenever. I remember this sentence particularly, "Things will be different now cause you have me!!" For accepting my flaws and respecting my decisions. For trusting me with your secrets, and for being a person I can trust with all of mine. I won't thank you for the material things here, OK I mightaswell. Thanks for believing in me enough to pass me your cases. I appreciate the gesture and I'll take good care of them. By the way of all the momentos you left on my table, your pass with the face is my favorite. I still see you every day! Hahaha.
All the best in your new job babeeeee! I know you will succeed by being yourself. Without the help of red lipstick, tight dresses, or stilettos ah HAHA. I'll find you for lunch and we make our 10,001 plans together! OK ending off with I love you to the moon and back TOO! ♥
