Sometimes.
When you accidentally stumble upon old pictures
or read about past memories... what would you do?
Do you quickly put them away for fear it may eat you up from the insides,
all over again? I don't.
I browse leisurely as if digging up the lost smiles takes away any of that regret.
When I justify over a relationship, it means he is no longer a priority.
It also means I have set aside expectations w/no thoughts about any romantic possibility.
But as a friend, or even in time to come, as a stranger,
he will always mean something special to my life.
I believe this to make enough sense, for all the effort and commitment put into a couple of years,
there can never be a so-called 'nothing left'.
There can be no love left to lose.
There can never be no love left to lose (if you get what I mean).
Of course, this doesn't apply to every dating partner.
Just some more than others.
