Yins's 21st Celebration

a barbeque party held at Costa Sands Resort
which had a theme, namely Fancy Hair-dos.

to prepare the welcome board.
i swear we are team disaster when being creative (or not so)
just coming up with the words made us erupt into laughter,
bicker endlessly. after some time Yins threw us this
unproductive bullshit glare LOL so we decided to chop chop.

Qing drew her letter 'Y' looking like it could use as a boomerang.

in return for decorative labor, Yins plaited our hairs!
while waiting for Seah Kiki to arrive
we headed up to 2nd lvl on the pretext of enjoying air con
but secretly cam-clicked away.

then it was dinner cooked by BBQ men.

we girls didn't contribute at all to the wonderful spread.
we only ate and feasted to our stomachs' content.
and for some reason i gobbled up an awful lot of food that night!
hotdogs, stingray, otahs, wings i bloated myself to the maximum.
then i went for the large packet of marshmallows on the table
plus two portions of Yins's mango sago dessert.
HAHAHAHHA WTF it was extreme really.

despite being fucking full, the tempting food KEPT ON COMING
so i kept stuffing. my friends were traumatized. :O


oh yes i must mention
we were the fantastic four who adhered to the theme
when no-bo-dy-else did anything to their hair. o_.
for that we proudly claimed title of her three best friends!

in between food and more food....

then the two of us got freak bored.

fear of an audience
(be it judges, peers or even.... friends)
has given me severe performance anxiety.
i was really disappointed that day
not with the outcome or the event,
but because it made me realize
i am going to be my own destruction.
no one else seems to bother much about
the camera rolling, the glaring spotlight above,
the people listening nor the straight-faced judges.

on a wtf contrary those were all that engulfed my mind.
weakened knees, trembly voice, offfff-key notes
if you need a description it'd be 'mouse in front of 3 cats'.

despite my teary-eyed-walking-zombie stance thereafter.

HURHUR i have also come up with a brilliant solution:
I will intake alcohol in future, say 1/4 tipsy first

no matter how much time i commit to singing
whether it is through leisure ktv, formal classes, or at home
i am nowhere near perfection.

i select the most difficult of songs
the most powerful of female vocals to practice
believing that that is the best way to push myself;
in music i cannot settle for lesser, only more.
but i am too far away from perfection.
yes i know very well it doesn't come in a day
even weeks, months, years....
still the progress is frustrating. sigh
