now that visuals have been uploaded, here's
My 21st Birthday Celebration at long last.
held on 7 February 2009/Saturday
at my Aunty's place since she catered dinner.
speaking of which, to friends whom i didn't ask to come
i definitely remembered you all the same,
but being organized at a relative's place in the end
made it quite difficult to invite everyone.

whoever said twenty-first should be a big bash,
held at some extravagant posh location
crammed with too many people
you'll hardly be able to even acknowledge them.

mine's a simple affair of family & friends
(interconnected a way or another so they wouldn't be left out)
yet i felt the immense bliss surrounding;
when i saw my dear ones arriving at the door...
mini-time spent to catch up with each of them
then crowding in that room to sing happy birthday.
the scenario was overwhelming, although i didn't show it.
my head spun from a mix of shyness (no joke) and joy,
that caused me to behave in a very out of sorts manner.

i will post the photos but bear in mind - not flattering at all.

although tired, i was ecstatic that evening

another 18 bucks to my collection.
18 is a lot of money when you are dirt broke.
but i totally love bedtime readinggg -
